But you may be confused or overwhelmed by getting a lot of directions to choose your right diet. Here I am to help you and provide you a reverse diabetes diet plan. I followed this diet plan and reversed my type 2 diabetes.

I think reversing Diabetes by consuming the right diet is pretty straightforward than taking injections and medication every day. When you have type 2 diabetes and get a quite noticeable permanent development in your insulin resistance, it is called reverse Diabetes.

In medical terms, reverse Diabetes means keeping your HbA1 c less than 42 molds without taking any medicine.

How Is Diet Related To Reverse Prediabetes Or Type 2 Diabetes?

If you have Diabetes, you have known that overweight or obese is one of the main reasons for having Diabetes. And taking too many foods and unhealthy foods are the most common two reasons for obesity.

So a proper and effective diet plan helps you to lose weight and boosts your insulin sensitivity. Indirectly, weight loss and insulin resistance help you to reverse your Diabetes.

When you are determined to reverse prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, you have to focus on a balanced diet plan. When I  selected my diet plan, I had included all those foods into my plan according to my doctor’s advice. 

Luckily, I reversed my type 2 diabetes only by following one month of a perfect diet plan. I kept low carb, highly nutritious, and a little amount of healthy fat in my diet. Here is my plan which I want to share with you. 

  • Complex carbohydrates

Brown rice, quinoa, oat, etc.

  • Vegetables

Cauliflower, cabbage, beans, carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, cucumbers, Brussels sprouts, spinaches, celery, etc. 

  • Fruits

Orange, apple, pineapple, pomegranate, grape, blueberry, blackberry, strawberry, raspberries, plum, pears, bananas, cherries, watermelon, kiwi, peaches,

  • Protein

Meat, goat, chicken, turkey, duck, tuna fish, beef, poultry, lamb, different kinds of sea fishes, mackerel, sardines, pigeon, etc. 

  • A small amount of healthy fat

Oily fish or fish oil, egg, tofu, avocado, ghee, butter, olive oil, cheese, yogurt etc.

  • Seeds

Nuts, almonds, chia seeds, walnuts, etc.

  • Liquid 

At least 2 liters of pure drinking water, raw tea, unflavored coffee, etc.

Some foods to avoid to reverse type 2 diabetes

Yes, my doctor advised me to include these above foods in my diet plan. But he also advised me to avoid some unhealthy foods to get the best result from the foods. I avoided

  • Plain grains

White rice, pasta, bread, popcorn, cereal, etc.

  • Non-Starchy vegetables

Potatoes, peas, yams, etc.

  • Junk foods

Chips, crackers, pizza, burgers, candy, canned drinks, chocolate, honey, dried fruits, etc.

  • Fatty oil

Soybean, canola, vegetable oil, etc.

  • Liquids

Energy drinks, fruit juice, milk tea, flavored coffee, etc. 

  • Smoking

Cigarette, hot dog, beer, etc.

How I reversed my Diabetes?

I am Alisha, and it was 2017 when I noticed some diabetes symptoms within myself. Without wasting time, I made a consultation with my family physician. He gave me some tests to check my blood sugar level, insulin resistance level, and glucose level.

 After diagnosis, he told me I had type 2 diabetes. When I heard, I was surprised. How can I had Diabetes! I had no family member who had Diabetes. Even I was not more than 45 years old. But I was a little overweight. 

After controlling myself, I asked my doctor what I should do to reverse Diabetes? 

The doctor said, “don’t worry and don’t be panic. I will give you a diet plan. If you follow, I can guarantee you within one month, you can reverse it.

I have written the same diet plan above. I followed the instructions to the point, and within some weeks, I succeeded in reversing it. 

Until now, though, I have Diabetes, but I don’t need to take any medicine or injections.

It is not straightforward to say how much time do you need to reverse your Diabetes. It depends on your physical condition and how many symptoms do you have? 

If you don’t have too many symptoms and have a robust immunity system, it takes only three weeks to reverse. Moreover, you don’t need any medication during this time. 

But you have to make sure that you are taking the right foods and the right amount.

Diabetes is a simple disease, but without taking proper care, it can increase different serious diseases. 

But taking a proper diet, doing some physical exercise, and leading a healthy life can mitigate all the risk factors of all complications.
